About Me

As the great-granddaughter of subsistence farmers, I grew up in rural Kentucky, surrounded by a tight-knit community of family, friends, farmers, cooks, and gardeners.

After receiving a full ride to the University of Kentucky, I packed my bags for the big city, determined to pursue a multi-faced passion for cooking, fighting climate change, and building genuine community.

I served as a writer and digital communicator at American Farmland Trust, where I spoke with farmers across the country about ways to make agriculture more sustainable in the United States. Then, I moved to New York City to dive deeper into the culinary arts, where I studied health-supportive cuisine and nutrition at the Institute of Culinary Education.

Today, I bring these passions together by championing healthier food systems and creating magical moments of understanding and connection at the table.
